Our duo was created thanks to a common interest in acrobatics and circus.
We have been intensively cooperating for 3 years, during which we developed our skills by training ourselves, as well as participating in various types of circus and acroyoga festivals.
We define our work as icarian acrobatics. We are lovers of dynamic elements that require a lot of cooperation and trust in pair. Our routines and performances are a combination of icarian games, acroyoga washing machines and partner acrobatics.
In 2019 weve participated in Polands Got Talent which motivated us to create three new shows and let us won the program. After that adventure our main goal was to performing on stage, where through our choreographies, we convey short stories and positive emotions.
So far, we have had the opportunity to share our knowledge in several workshops in Poland, including Krakow, Warsaw, Ostrsda, Wroclaw and AcroFever Retreat. Last summer we also conducted a series of workshops during Sicily Acro Convention.
Besides our duo, Marysia is an aerialist and instructor of aerial acrobatics for children and adults since many years. Julian is a circus artist, he is doing a german wheel and juggling act.
David’s devotion for didactics, alongside his love for partner acrobatics and acroyoga, makes him a passionate teacher who loves to create, deconstruct and transmit many styles of acro and movement. He has a special place in his heart for complex flows, whip-pops, handstands, basing icarian, and flying hand to hand. He also cherishes a deep connection to nature, as well as a love for adventure activities like climbing, hiking and biking. David co-founded the Acrology Team in 2016, with whom he organises acroyoga and adventure retreats around the world. Additionally, David collaborates as a teacher trainer for the school www.partner-acrobatics.com.
“Acro is not just a way to have a lot of fun, persevere, keep fit, and connect with others. It is also an incredible tool of self discovery, discovery of others, team building, and personal growth. Through Acro I have been able to learn so much about the importance of authenticity, letting ourselves be seen, and accepting our own and other’s vulnerability… which is the essence of human connection.”
Carú loves the human part of the practice. The Acro helped him to discover himself better, to improve as a human being, to understand other people better, to connect in a very fun and pleasant way with people from all over the world. His passion is to do what he loves and sharing it with others, with a social and humanitarian vision, inspiring and sharing his practice and experience with other teachers from different places and taking his practice to ml such as hospitals, prisons and youth centres. Since 2014 he has been organizing and participating in workshops, classes, retreats, conventions and festivals in different parts of the world. He is one of the cofounder of Acrology and one of the organizers of the “Harakati Movement Festival”, The “Granada Acrobatics Convention” and “Rhythm & Moves Festival.”
“I love sharing helping other people to overcome limits, fears and have fun playing with our bodies. Since I started with Acro I have travelled around the world learning and sharing the practice. “
Adrian started on his path of movement exploration when he began to train Muay Thai in 2005. Over the years, his martial arts training was joined by a range of disciplines around dance and movement, leading him eventually to focus on partner acrobatics as his core discipline. His style of teaching combines ideas from all of these movement styles to create a body practice that is not just focused on strength and flexibility, but on agility, balance, and mental focus. His favourite Acro disciplines include Icarian, Pitching and Hand to Hand dynamics.
Loli & Gabe are two movement enthusiasts that bring a juicy combination onto the mats. Their approach to Acro is gentle, playful yet sophisticated. During their trainings they put a lot of focus on sustainability, communication, and trust. Loli loves to spend her time upside down, exploring new ways of moving or geeking out about fine nuances in Acro. As a linguist she is passionate about language and culture which influence us in our daily life as well as on the mat practicing together.
Paul gives workshops in a wide range of acrobatic figures in L basing as well in S basing. With his inspiring way of teaching it will be challenging for all participants. By using the right techniques you will learn to do the tricks with ease and using of less energy and power. Paul loves to stimulate the participants with his infinite energy and enthusiasm so that you can push your limits with confidence. In Paul's work balance and the right body tension are important themes rather than pure strength.
For the more difficult tricks he will often work with the group on pre-exercises to learn the basics of movements and positions first before you do the real thing. And most importantly you are going to have a lot of fun in his workshops.
BIOGRAPHY
Paul has practised acrobatics since 1986 and has studied with the Como Brothers and the Osmani’s. Both are key historical figures in the circus world and have performed all over the world. He currently trains as a flyer twice a week with Wybren Wouda, the base of The Flying Methusalems, at the Codarts Circus School in Rotterdam and once a week as a base in Amsterdam. For the past 30 years he has run acrobatic courses in Rotterdam, Holland. He is a well known teacher at a lot of acrobatic festivals all over Europe and beyond. He specialized himself in icarian games, hand to hand tricks and corbets and cascades. Workshops with Paul are guaranteed to be fun as you discover and explore more partner tricks, transitions & sequences.
Anja Commer aka. AnYeah Fitness has been teaching movement sessions since 2016. In the AcroYoga community she feels at home and enjoys the open and heartful communication with each other. For Anja the best experience in AcroYoga is to be able to grow way upon your personal potential because together you are stronger. She feels carried and is able to let herself go - especially in a big, warm cuddle net. She wants to be able to fly and base every acroposition and to be able to do it on the left side as well as on the right side.
She offers training which consists of functional movement patterns which are performed without any equipment. Fun is the key factor in her training and so the physical limit gets expanded, the participant is getting more flexible, gains endurance and of course stronger. After each movement session there follows the regeneration and for this process Anja leads you through active stretches and shows you myofascial self massage with help of fascia equipment.
In yoga I live in the moment and am in the flow. I feel the connection to myself and my body, to myself as a small part of the big picture. My yoga is creative and dynamic and primarily aims to be fun. At the same time, it can also encourage a change of perspective and go a layer deeper. Because as a psychologist and Vinyasa Yoga teacher with training in Somatic Awareness, the focus is on the playful connection and health of body and mind.
Sandie Brischler is a french performance artist, active in several artistic fields. I danced and sang before i walked or spoked, according to my father. Anyway, Music and Movement was always a big part of my life. Later Yoga, Acro Yoga and Thai Yoga Massage joined.
Meanwhile I earn my money with these passions, lead Yoga and Massage Courses and Workshops. My focus is on a intuitive and caring connection to the own body and fellow people.
Besides that I play music on Festivals and Ecstatic Dance Partys. My style is influenced by the international sounds of my parent's house and my long-term stay on Zanzibar. So I mix international sounds and electronic beats to promote diversity and soulfulness.
